Safari Accommodations in Namibia
Independent
travellers will find an abundance of comfortable accommodation options
ranging from rest camps and country guest farms to a few safari lodges
that compare favourably with the best found in Zimbabwe, Botswana and
Zambia.
Generally
speaking, safari accommodations in Namibia aren't as sophisticated as
those found elsewhere in southern Africa or in East Africa. In addition,
the "full service" ethos has not yet been adopted even in some
of the best lodges in the country - this has probably been as a result
of influence from South Africa and fact that much of Namibia's
traditional tourism has been derived from regional visitors and
relatively undemanding colonial clientele.
Mobile
safari accommodations in Namibia are of a high standard and make use of
the best safari lodges and luxury tented camps - in the main centres of
Windhoek and Swakopmund, hotels have been carefully selected for
overnight stops where necessary.
