Tena Tena is a member of the prestigious "Classic Safari Camps of Africa", an association of independent and privately owned camps and lodges in East and Southern Africa.

About Tena Tena

This remote and small eight bed seasonal camp lies within the Nsefu Sector of the National Park on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. The early Tena Tena team (courtesy Jo Pope)

Groves of mahogany trees shade the large custom-made tents. From the thatched dining room and bar, guests can watch the elephants, hippo and antelope on the riverbanks.

Nearby is a spectacular lagoon, Baka Baka, a rich congregation point for game and the spot where Jo and Robin were married.

Tena Tena is utilised at the end of the nine day mobile walking safari.
