Classic Africa Safaris, Mana Pools, Zambezi River

Both Matusadona and Mana Pools National Parks offer their own unique view of Africa's timeless beauty. Rich in wildlife and scenically spectacular, these two distinct destinations complement each other perfectly, offering a logical combination for any visitor to Zimbabwe intent on a seriously memorable African Safari.

Why consider a Classic Zambezi Safari?
Our "Classic Zambezi Safaris" are an exclusive association between ourselves, Musango Safari Camp (member of the Classic Safari Camps of Africa group), and Classic Africa Safaris.
  • Musango is well established, having built a fine reputation for its walking safaris and variety of activities in Matusadona since 1992.
  • Classic Africa Safaris, now operating independently of one of Zimbabwe's largest and oldest adventure companies, has proven its mettle as one of the finest operations in Mana Pools concentrating on deluxe walking and canoe safaris on this prime section of the Zambezi River.
  • Matusadona National Park, located beneath the rugged escarpment on the shores of Lake Kariba, now recognised as having Africa's highest population of lions, also has one of the last remaining wild populations of the endangered black rhino. It's an area renowned for its birdlife and unique combination of African wilderness and abundance of water on the lake shore line.
  • Mana Pools is an enthralling wilderness area on the southern bank of the lower Zambezi River. Mana is a World Heritage Site acclaimed for its splendid scenery, open flood plains, and abundance of large game and birdlife in a unique environment. This is ideal territory for walking and canoe safaris.
